2013 has been an exciting year here at Targa Trophy and the good times continue to roll as we get closer to the massive automotive gathering known as SEMA. This years SEMA will be a different experience for Targa Trophy though, as we have received a coveted invitation to participate in one of the most prestigious events held during the week long aftermarket convention. For our first time ever, Targa Trophy will participate in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational presented by Royal Purple and K&N Filters running our 2013 project car - Subaru STi DSC built by HG Motorsports.
The Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI) is the only lifestyle driving event that is sanctioned and integrated into the SEMA convention each year. 60 Cars from all over the United States are hand selected to participate in the exclusive event which is ran over 2 days. The OUSCI is a multi task driving event that includes street and track exercises to see who has the ultimate street car in the US. The driving format includes a road rally, autocross and timed lapping amongst other driving events.
The project Subaru STi DSC is a formidable entry as this will not be the biggest power car on the grid, but is one of the most nimble and is looking to perform well during each of the events driving challenges. With components from Targa Trophy brand partners including Toyo Tires, HRE Wheels, KW Suspension, Cobb, Whiteline, and APR, we are looking to have an amazing time during the OUSCI. Stay tuned for exclusive coverage starting next week and a full recap post event.
